Church News

During this year (2022) the church has;

Delivered regular loads of donations to the Food Bank made from the Harvest Festival service and support from the local community
Continuing weekly services
Continued offering prayers for all including the people of Ukraine, people of all nations with the increasing cost of living for food items, fuel, gas and oil
Praying for people on our own community
Praying for the Royal Family with the loss of Queen Elizabeth II who reigned the UK and the Commonwealth nations for over 70 years

Events are advertised on the church notice board, in the Parish News, and the church website. Everyone is welcome and new faces are always an encouragement that we are reaching out to others in Shillington and the surrounding villages.

United church services with Anglicans are held on the fifth Sunday of each month details as advertised.
Regular fellowship meals and meetings are held in the church with other Christians.
Christian Aid collection is taken each year in May.
Remembrance Sunday service for the village will be held as usual bringing everyone together and especially many of our youth. We hope that the spirit of remembrance will be passed on from one generation to another.
Our annual village Christmas Tree Festival will bring the community together when everyone is invited to plan the festival. All proceeds are given to the chosen charity.
Other regular activities are held such as Craft Club, Table Tennis and Coffee Mornings.
Village united thanksgiving service held annually for all village groups and activities.
Annual Songs of Praise service in September.
