An Evening Enjoyed By All.

Our last event of 2010 was our Christmas Social and what an Evening it turned out to be. 48 people were present with contributions from Tom & Diana Rainey, and Nola McCormick. 12 'Friends' from the floor singing the 12 days of Christmas, and a very enjoyable Christmas meal cooked by our very own Angela and Pat.

Burns Night.

Over 60 members and village friends packed the church to celebrate this excellent evening. Angela Corbett and Pat Stapleton provided a wonderful meal of Haggis and Roast Beef with all the trimmings. The Haggis was 'piped in and addressed', Fair fa' your honest sonsie face, great Chieftain of the pudding race, etc.

The raffle raised £100 towards church overheads.

After the meal, Scottish Dancing took place, and everyone was given a chance to learn 'Dashing White Sergeant' and 'The Gay Gordons'. The evening ended with a sing song selection of Scottish Songs, ending of course with Auld Lang Syne. The music was provided by our very own Tom 'Fingers' Rainey.

The Church hosted St. Valentine's Supper on Saturday, 12th. February, and 54 Church Members and Friends sat down to another delightful meal and entertainment. The raffle raised £89 and the whole evening was very enjoyable indeed. We all now look forward to Saturday, 16th. April, for our next Social, so if you have not already booked your place, then give Angela a call on 01462 850266.

The evening's are always happy occasions and confirm the love and friendships that are so prevalent at this church.
